Galatians 5:22-23

Today’s Focus is John 8:1-11. Read the passage together.

Jesus showed to a woman who had been caught doing something wrong.  We all do things that we shouldn’t do, but the Pharisees tried to trick Jesus and wanted the woman to be stoned.

Jesus did a strange thing: he wrote some things in the dirt.  We don’t know what he wrote, but whatever it was, it made the people think.  He offered to let anyone there throw the first stone if they had no sin in their life.  We know that we all have sinned, so no one was able to throw a stone.  Jesus did not condemn the woman, but told her to go and leave her life of sin.
Jesus treats us with gentleness.  There are consequences for our sin, but he died for us so our sins can be forgiven.  Remember to treat others with gentleness, just like Jesus.
