Christmas is coming! How excited are you this year?
As the year comes to an end, it brings with it the most wonderful time of the year! As we excitedly await the arrival of Christmas, it is time to start thinking about Advent and shifting our focus to Jesus, the real reason we celebrate.
Celebrating Advent can be done in many different ways. Whether you choose a calendar that gives your kids a little toy or candy every day, or read a bible verse every day together, you can choose an Advent tradition that works best for you.
Since I know many of you are busy, and many of you are probably Googling and searching for ideas for Advent, I thought I would try to help. I put together a list of some top advent resources for families to use.
While I haven’t personally used all of these Advent resources, I did take some time to search, sift, and curate a pretty great list of options for your consideration. I even know some of the resource creators, and I know they produce quality resources.
Many are free, some have a cost. Some are downloadable, some are physical. Some are for church use, some are for personal use. A few are affiliate links, most are not. There is something here for everyone, no matter what your needs are.

So what kind of Advent traditions do you have? Do you know of an Advent resource that should be added to the list? Leave a message and let me know.
Hi Pastor Ron, I’d love it if you’d include our Family Advent Guide in your list. Included in each of the five weeks of materials are Scripture, a story and a conversation starter to help families experience the wonder of why we celebrate Christmas.
Access to the guide is at childdiscipleship.com/advent and will be sent along with our Friday Family Email, which includes fun and easy-to-use discipleship ideas for the season. If you have any questions, please ask.
