Family Devotions for Advent

Many people make Advent part of their annual Christmas tradition. What is Advent? It is a time of remembering and reflecting on the events leading up to Jesus’ birth. What better way to celebrate Advent than with some quality family discussions?

A while back I was asked by a pastor to write a set of devotionals they could use in a Family Advent Box they will be giving to their families. I have always wanted to create a resource for Advent, so I agreed. That is how Family Devotions for Advent was born!

With this set of Family Devotions for Advent you will get 20 quick and easy family devotions and conversation starters. Family Devotion time doesn’t have to be long and drawn out. It doesn’t have to be overwhelming or dreaded. This collection will help you have quality spiritual discussions in a way everyone can understand.

Designed to cover 5 days each week over a 4 week period, you can use this to gather your family and lead some spiritual discussions while focusing on the birth of Jesus and what that means to us.

Each week revolves around a theme.

First Week: Hope
Second Week: Preparation
Third Week: Joy and Peace
Forth Week: Love and Adoration

You will have opportunity to talk about Old Testament Prophecies fulfilled in the New Testament. There will be scriptures to read together and answer questions and discuss. Also included are several family activities to help you live into your faith and set an example for those around us while we prepare for Jesus to come back for us.

How do you get Family Devotions for Advent?

Family Devotions is available on Amazon for Kindle! If you don’t want to print them out , this digital version is a great option. Click here to see it on Amazon.

If you prefer your devotions printed, for $2.00 you can get a single, printable set of Family Devotions for Advent. This will consist of 4 double sided PDFs, which will fold in half booklet style. Print out one for each of the 4 weeks leading up to Christmas and use it to learn together and inspire some great spiritual discussions. Links to download will be emailed shortly after purchase.

If you are looking for a way to digitally provide Advent resources to those in your ministry, you can purchase the devotions in simple text format, so all you need to do is copy and paste into your favorite form of social media. $2 will grant you permission to post any/all of the devotions digitally. If you are a church and would like to print and distribute to the families in your church, you would purchase the Church License, which will allow you to print as many copies as you need. You can pass them out each Sunday leading up to Christmas. Some churches plan to print and use in their Advent Activity Box they send home with their families. How you choose to use them is up to you, but I know your families will appreciate you for providing them with a practical tool to encourage their child’s spiritual foundation. $5 will allow you to print as many as you need.
