Fruit of the Spirit: Patience
This week’s Focus comes from Genesis 15:1-6 and 17:15-22
Patience is waiting for the right time without complaining. Often the right time is God’s time.
Abram trusted God and for a while believed God would give him a son. Well, after about 10 years had passed Abram and Sarai decided to try to make God’s promise happen on their own and had a son their own way.
25 years after God promised a son, God fulfilled his promise.
Unfortunately Abram and Sarai were not patient and had consequences for trying to do things in their own time.
- What is patience?
- What are some things you need to be patient for?
- It is hard for you to be patient?
- How can you show patience?
